Rona Langdon reluctantly opened the door and said, "Preston isn't home."
"That's alright. It's just as well that you're here," the middle-aged man said with a broad grin. "I'll just say a few words and be on my way."
As the saying goes, you don't turn away someone with a smile. Even though Rona Langdon was in a foul mood, she couldn't bring herself to send him away when faced with his grinning face.
She gave a slight nod, and the middle-aged man stepped inside, closing the door behind him.
Rona Langdon's brow furrowed, but he had already begun unhurriedly opening the fruit box. She glanced over, and with just one look, her eyes were glued to it. The box didn't contain any fruit—it was filled entirely with hundred-yuan bills!
Rona Langdon stared at the middle-aged man in shock, her heart racing. Her voice trembled slightly. "What is the meaning of this?"
