"That wretched Vera Xavier brought your grandmother over to make trouble for me today," Rona Langdon said coldly. "I've decided to divorce your father. All these years, he's earned nothing but a pittance, yet he still dared to hide a secret stash of money from me. He yells at me every single day. I've been wanting to leave him for a long time! Let whoever likes him so much take care of him."
Cara Preston figured out what her mother was getting at and quickly said, "Dad always treated Vera the best. Let her be the one to take care of him!"
Rona Langdon sneered. "It's a shame the house was left to them. They're getting off way too easy!"
