Rona Langdon pointed at Jack Judd's retreating back and unleashed her full arsenal of curses. If Jack Judd's ancestors had heard her, they probably would have crawled out of their graves in the middle of the night to haunt her.
After chasing Jack Judd off, she said to Cara Preston, "Don't you ever speak to that scum again!"
Cara Preston didn't say a word, only staring at her with a pair of somewhat cold, detached eyes.
The other members of the Langdon Family hadn't seen the amount, but she had seen it crystal clear. She was incredibly curious. 'Where on earth did Rona Langdon get that much money?'
She had grown up in the Preston Family and knew their income inside and out. Even if Rona Langdon didn't spend lavishly and saved every penny of Zachary Preston's salary, there was no way they could have that much.
That left only one possibility. Someone must have given Zachary Preston a gift, and Rona Langdon had accepted it.
