Vera Xavier said calmly, "Mr. Forrest, I admire your courage, but there's something I think you should know."
After she finished, she looked sweetly at Nathaniel Nathan and said, "He and I are already married."
Alistair Forrest didn't seem to take her words to heart at all. He just smiled and said, "I knew you'd say that. But so what? Even if you're married, I can still steal you away. After all, you can get divorced, and after a divorce, you can get remarried. We Marinus folks are very open-minded about these things. I'm willing to marry you no matter how many times you've been married before!"

Nathaniel Nathan shot Alistair Forrest a cold glance. His entire demeanor was glacial, but he couldn't even be bothered to waste words on the man. He simply turned and left with Vera Xavier and Aaron Cheney.
