Nathaniel Nathan froze. Vera Xavier leaned in and kissed him directly on the lips.
A soft, gentle sensation settled on his lips. For a moment, he was dazed. 'She's actually kissing me?'
And so, Young Master Nathan, who had always been calm and merciless, finally understood what it meant for desire to cloud one's judgment. He had been forcibly suppressing his emotions, intending to teach her a lesson. Otherwise, who knew what kind of trouble this audacious wife of his would stir up in the future.
But the moment Vera Xavier kissed him, he threw all caution to the wind. All he wanted was to kiss her properly. 'God knows how much I missed her while I was on my mission!'
He could hold back as long as she wasn't kissing him, but now? How could he possibly restrain himself any longer?
