She had known back in Crestfall that she would have to meet his parents after arriving in Veridia. But now that the moment was upon her, she inexplicably got cold feet. After thinking it over, she realized it was probably because she cared about him so much; that was why she was so afraid his parents wouldn't approve of her.
Nathaniel Nathan stared at her fixedly and asked, "Vera Xavier, what are you really worried about?"
