"You're the one who's mistaken," Vera Xavier said with a small smile. "If you're paying special attention to me because of my perfect scores, I don't think that's necessary. That's my business, and it has nothing to do with you."
When she finished speaking, she glanced at Damian Yale, took hold of her small cart, and strode away.
