A flash of contempt crossed Laura White's eyes. She had assumed the Dean's office at Veridia University would be different from her high school's, but it seemed even this prestigious university was nothing special. Dealing with someone like Vera Xavier, who had no connections, would be a piece of cake.
She recalled the way Vera had hit her before and felt that simple expulsion would be letting Vera off too easy. Back in high school, no one would have dared to lay a hand on her. She had to return the favor.
She knew she was no match for Vera in a fight, but they were in the Dean's office now. If Vera dared to retaliate, she would have two witnesses: the Dean and Secretary Archer. She could even get Vera sent to the police station!
With a cold smirk, she walked up to Vera and raised her hand to strike. "Time to teach you a lesson," she sneered. "Just because you have good grades doesn't mean you're the best... AARGH!"
