Li Dashan heard that the Qingshan Team had developed something new and amazing again—a way to plant corn at lightning speed.
They also said you didn't need to haul water to irrigate the fields anymore.
As soon as he heard the news, he hopped on his bicycle and raced over.
When he got there, he took one look and was nearly blinded by what he saw.
He'd been skeptical at first, but a closer look confirmed it seemed to be the real deal.
Just as he was about to get a better look, he came face-to-face with Chen Beiguo. His first instinct was to shove that old face aside, but just as his hand went up, he remembered he was here to ask for a favor. He quickly changed the shove into a pat.
"Beiguo! Haven't seen you in a while. You're looking years younger, you kid! HAHAHA!"
As he spoke, his palm slid smoothly across Chen Beiguo's chest.
A shiver of disgust ran down Chen Beiguo's spine. He felt utterly repulsed. He slapped Li Dashan's hand away, his own smile not reaching his eyes.
