In the middle of their conversation, the car stopped. Chen Jiao immediately shut her eyes, feigning drunkenness. 'Even though Tan You always says my acting skills are barely a passing grade, pretending to be drunk doesn't take much talent. I'm confident I can fool these two.'
Sure enough, she fooled them completely. Zhang Ping and two prop masters from another car didn't suspect a thing, leading Chen Jiao straight to an apartment on the sixteenth floor.
'These gang members have a pretty nice place. I'm actually jealous.' Chen Jiao had already seen the floor plan Tan You sent her, and she meant it.
'Property in G City is ridiculously expensive. Between working my butt off as an actress and paying for my dad's medical bills, I might not be able to afford a place here even in twenty years. And yet these gang bosses get to live in a huge apartment like this without lifting a finger.'
