As soon as Chu Xiaowan entered CYH, she found the place in chaos. All the employees were gathered in the lobby, and many of CYH's signed artists had come as well, noisily surrounding a vice president.
"You have to give us an explanation today!"
"Exactly! What about our salaries for this month? And where's the boss?"
"Where did Hu Zhicong run off to?"

The frantic vice president was trying to make a call, but it seemed he couldn't get through.
Chu Xiaowan walked up to a minor influencer she vaguely knew and asked, "What's going on? Did everyone come to demand answers about the contract issues?"
Seeing it was Chu Xiaowan, the influencer explained, "Little Maru, you don't know yet? That bastard Hu Zhicong seems to have skipped town. Not only did he run off with the investment money, but he also took all of our gift earnings. Now, you can't get ahold of that bastard at all."
