Yinyin and Ximeng eyed each other warily.
The other woman was dressed far too provocatively. They had finally managed to get a date with their boss tonight, and if he saw how the other one was dressed, she might just swoop in and steal his attention.
Lost in their own schemes, they both headed into the lobby.
When they reached the elevator to go upstairs, they both remembered their boss was waiting for them in the underground parking garage. In perfect unison, they turned to each other and said, "I just remembered something. You go on ahead."
"..." Ximeng was speechless.
"..." Yinyin was speechless.
Awkwardness flashed across both their faces. Each had wanted the other to go upstairs first so she could sneak off to the parking garage. Who knew that when one made an excuse about having something to do, the other would conveniently have something to do as well.
"I really do have something to do," Ximeng said, turning and walking away.
