Shen Lang inwardly rolled her eyes but kept a bright smile on her face. "This is the first time I've seen a safe that needs a key."
The man looked up, his long lashes stirring. "Without a key, it's fingerprint access," he said calmly, "...and you won't be able to open it."
"Alright, I'll be going then." Having gotten the answer she wanted, Shen Lang grabbed her bag and stood up. "By the way, where's the safe?"
"My study."
Shen Lang replied with a noncommittal "Alright," then turned and left.
'He clearly could have explained this over the phone, but no, he just had to make me come in person.'
'With just a single word from him, R.G.'s research team would cooperate with me fully, yet he insisted I go to all this trouble to retrieve a marriage certificate.'
'There's no way he isn't sick in the head.'
She got back in the car and headed for his manor.
