Shen Lang watched for a while. Just as she was about to listlessly lie down, she heard a voice as crisp and clear as ice, "Why aren't you asleep yet?"
Shen Lang surveyed the grand hall, her gaze falling. "This hall is too vast and desolate. The light from the Luminous Pearls is too bright, so I can't sleep. And besides, who sleeps in the middle of a grand hall? A lone bed sitting right here… it's kind of creepy."
Changfan sat up as well, gazing down at her. "Then what would you like to do?"
Shen Lang's sparkling eyes darted around. "Let's go stay in another room, okay? We can sleep in the one I used to live in."
Changfan frowned slightly. "It's too rundown."
Shen Lang retorted, displeased, "It's not rundown at all! I took the time to decorate it."
Changfan raised an eyebrow. "You mean those plants?"
"..." Shen Lang fell silent for a moment. "How did you know?"
"They withered long ago," Changfan said nonchalantly. "In the days you were gone, I went to look at it many times."
