Tristan Grayson dropped his cigarette and frowned, letting out a cold, "Hm?"
"It's just as you guessed. There really is a powerful figure pulling the strings and secretly helping Archie Summers. But no matter how many men I sent to investigate, I couldn't find out who it is. I did, however, learn something interesting."
"What is it?"
"Archie Summers's fiancée embezzled company funds in his name."
Tristan Grayson's brow furrowed again. "How much?"
A vicious smile lit up Ian Shaw's eyes. "Take a guess. The number is absolutely worth all the money we spent and the time we took to dig this up!"
"A billion?" 'Embezzlement isn't that interesting,' he thought. 'After all, no company's books are clean enough to survive a real audit.'
