Half an hour later, Tristan Grayson arrived at Maggie Monroe's residence. He had just parked and gotten out of his car when he saw an ambulance pull up.
The housekeeper, Archer, happened to be opening the door just then and stood aside to let them in.
In the living room, Mrs. Lane sat on the floor, clutching Maggie Monroe tightly. With her head bowed, she kept whispering into Maggie's ear, but Maggie's eyes were closed. She was so deeply unconscious that she couldn't hear a thing.
When Mrs. Lane saw Tristan Grayson walk in, she looked up and said through her tears, "Young Master Grayson, you're finally here. Before Miss Monroe fainted, her only wish was to see you one last time."
Tristan Grayson said nothing, his brow deeply furrowed as he gazed at Maggie Monroe with a complex and pained expression.
