Yara Ross was furious at Eleanor Bishop's words, but she couldn't show it.
Eleanor Bishop reached for a towel, casually wiped her face, and walked out of the restroom.
She didn't return to her room. Instead, she left the house.
Seeing Eleanor about to leave, Yara Ross followed close behind and asked uneasily, "Eleanor, where are you going?"
"Mom, I'm just going out for a walk to clear my head." 'If I stay in this house any longer, I'll go crazy.'
'I might even start to see my own mother as an enemy.'
"Come back early, then. We still have to go to your grandfather's house tonight," Yara Ross said, worried.
"I'm not going to Grandfather's."
"Eleanor, it's your grandfather's seventy-third birthday. Isn't it rude for you not to go?"
Eleanor Bishop sneered and retorted, "Mom, Grandfather didn't even invite us to his birthday party. Isn't it a bit tactless for us to just show up uninvited?"
