"Miss Joyce, show some respect!" Suddenly finding himself in her embrace, Tristan Grayson's anger flared. He fought the urge to kick her away as he spoke in a cold voice.
Aria Joyce clung to him, her voice trembling as she sobbed, "Tristan, I refuse to believe you don't know I have feelings for you. For over two years, haven't I made it obvious enough?"
With a grim expression, Tristan Grayson forcefully pushed her away. "Miss Joyce, your feelings are your own business. They have nothing to do with me. So, please, have some self-respect. Don't make me look down on you."
With that, Tristan Grayson shook off her arm and turned to leave.
Aria Joyce watched his retreating figure, wanting to chase after him. 'But she was Aria Joyce!'
Her status simply wouldn't permit such behavior. She stumbled back a few steps, slid down against the wall, and buried her face, breaking into sobs.
