Eleanor Bishop retorted angrily, "You're mistaken. I don't have that much free time, nor am I that childish."
'Tattle on you? I'd have to be bored out of my mind to go running to Archie Lockwood! Besides, even if I did, there's no telling whose side he would take. And I certainly don't think he'd be kind enough to stand with me.'
"Then why are you on the phone?" 'Not that bored or childish, huh?'
'As far as she was concerned, this delicate-looking woman was just that—bored and childish!'
"I'm just calling my dad to come pick me up," Eleanor Bishop said, snatching her phone back.
"Hah. Calling your dad?" 'Who does she think she's kidding...'
Seeing that Shannon Vance didn't believe her, Eleanor Bishop gave a self-mocking laugh. "Miss Vance, you just said it yourself, didn't you? That you and Archie Lockwood are about to get married. So, it wouldn't be appropriate for me to keep staying here."
