This book isn't exactly a doting romance or a gratifying romp, but it's certainly not a tragic tearjerker. Chase Lynch set down the knife and fork he was using to cut his steak and smiled warmly. "Just as you suspected. Your guess is correct. I know what you want, Annabelle Linton. I'd like to make a deal with you. I wonder if you'll agree?"


Annabelle Linton watched him with an expressionless face, saying nothing. It was impossible to read her emotions.


Chase Lynch smiled again. "Be my girlfriend, and I'll solve all your problems and help you get everything you want. Will you take this deal?"
