"Yes, sir," Chase replied, hurrying out.
Leona Grant yanked hard at his tie. He stared at the documents before him, finding them an eyesore, and swept them all onto the floor.
'For some reason, this hollow feeling inside was particularly intense. A sense of panic washed over him, leaving him deeply unsettled.'
'He had only felt this way twice in his life: once when his grandmother died of a heart attack, and again right now.'
'It felt like a giant hand was squeezing his heart, making it hard to breathe.'
Half an hour later, Chase rushed in, his expression panicked. "Sir, it's terrible! Your wife... it seems your wife has gone missing!"
"What did you say?!" In a flash, Leona Grant was in front of Chase, grabbing his collar with brute force. "You fucking say that again!"
Chase was terrified by Leona Grant's vicious aura. This was the first time he had ever seen his boss so furious.
