Leona Grant chuckled joyfully, scooping her into his arms as he walked forward. "Darling, I missed you too!"
"Our luggage!" Annabelle Linton reminded him.
"It's fine."
Just then, Annabelle Linton saw Chase go to get the luggage. She was a little puzzled. "Isn't he your assistant? I feel like you treat him more like a personal servant."
"He's a *special* assistant. His salary is three times that of a regular one."
Leona Grant kissed her cheek and said gently, "Come on, be honest. Did you miss me or not?"
Annabelle Linton looked at him and asked with a smile, "I thought you weren't coming today?"
She had called him before boarding her flight to let him know. Leona Grant had told her he had a meeting and would have the butler pick her up, which was why Annabelle had been heading straight for the exit.
Leona Grant said resentfully, "I'm not heartless like you. We haven't seen each other in three days! What kind of meeting could possibly be more important than you?"
