He was silent for a moment, then said in a low voice, "Annabelle, did you know? I used to have a sister, too."
A sister?
Annabelle Linton didn't know he had a sister.
In fact, aside from his name, she really didn't know much else about him.
"Oh?" Annabelle Linton looked at him in surprise. "I had no idea."
Quentin Holland let out a soft laugh. A flicker of sorrow passed through his eyes, but it vanished in an instant, sinking back into their profound depths before she could even register it.
An announcement came over the PA system. Quentin Holland smiled again, choosing not to finish what he was saying. He changed the subject, stood up, and said to Annabelle Linton, "It's time to board."
Annabelle Linton took her luggage but didn't move. "So what happened then?" she asked, her curiosity piqued. "What about your sister? How old would she be, and where is she now?"
