A smirk appeared on Vivian Yates's face as she pointed at Annabelle. "Because you're Annabelle Linton. You don't give up easily. This poison may not have an antidote, but it has a palliative. You're not one to just give up, are you?"
Annabelle Linton scoffed. "So you've poisoned us both. You're telling me to leave Leon Grant just so you can take my place, right? But have you considered that if I leave, I'll die almost immediately without the antidote? Don't you think he'll get suspicious?"
"That's for you to handle, Mrs. Grant."
With that, Vivian Yates stood up and walked away.
Annabelle Linton walked alone on the dark streets, crying for a long, long time.
She understood what Vivian Yates meant.
Vivian wanted to force her out and take her place.
'If I don't agree, she'll let Leon die right away. Then everything will be lost, and I'll die immediately too.'
