Vivian Yates was sprawled on the floor, tears streaming down her face as she spoke in despair, "Then you tell me, what other choice do I have besides death? My parents are gone, and my life is in ruins. Am I supposed to live in someone else's shadow forever? I'd rather just die! At least I could keep my dignity instead of enduring this agonizing torment!"
"Dignity?"
Chase Lynch scoffed. "The moment you become the weakling, the loser, you lose all dignity. Dignity is something you reclaim for yourself, not a gift from others."
As he spoke, he slowly crouched down. His hand gripped her chin like a vice, and his smile was that of a cold-blooded demon. "Vivian Yates, I don't care whether you truly have dignity, or whether you live or die. But don't you forget our agreement. In this world, no one goes back on their word with me, and no one makes a fool out of me."
With that, he yanked her up from the floor and dragged her in front of the computer.
