Murong Ye's heart leaped, and he looked up toward the entrance.

Upon seeing him, Shen Yanchuan raised an eyebrow, seemingly surprised.

Murong Ye truly hadn't expected to run right into Shen Yanchuan, and he was momentarily overcome with embarrassment.
But in front of everyone, he couldn't afford to lose face. "I did have some matters to attend to, so I left a bit early," he said. "But you, Young Master—shouldn't you be at the Han Family's estate right now? Why have you come to the Ye Family with such a large entourage?"
The displeasure in his voice was obvious, even carrying a hint of accusation.

"As for that question, why don't you ask Lord Ye himself, Mr. Murong? You two are quite close. If you were to ask, I'm sure he would explain it to you."
