"It's delicious," Adrian Hawthorne said sincerely.
Phoebe Huxley's fleshy face looked even kinder. Aside from her own daughter, this little jinx was the first person to praise her cooking. He not only had good taste, but he was a sweet-talker, too.
"If you like it, have some more. There's still rice."
Phoebe Huxley wanted to get him another bowl, but Adrian Hawthorne refused. Although he could have eaten another big bowl, today had already been extravagant enough. He couldn't indulge himself, or his stomach would protest.
"I'm full. I... have something to discuss with... Uncle Felix."
Adrian Hawthorne looked at Felix Thorne. Though just a child, his presence was in no way inferior. Phoebe Huxley, not one for pleasantries, cleared the bowls and chopsticks and went into the kitchen.
"Mama, I want some brown sugar water, with ginger in it!" Xiaonan ran to the kitchen and said.
"Why the sudden craving for ginger sugar water?"
"I just want it..."
