Emmitt went home and told his mother about the matter. When his mother heard the business was in Vessaria, she was relieved. She told Emmitt to let Adrian Hawthorne know that since they wouldn't be in each other's way, she didn't mind sharing her business secrets.
Besides, he was just a child, so she didn't pay him any mind. Developing photos wasn't that simple. First, you needed a camera, not to mention developing chemicals and photo paper. Then there was the developing technique itself. She had figured all of this out slowly on her own. 'How could a child possibly understand all that?'
"Thank you."
Adrian Hawthorne smiled and thanked him. Emmitt felt a little bad; what his mom had said was as good as saying nothing. A camera wasn't something the average person could afford. He thought for a moment, then picked out a few movie stills from his bag and stuffed them into Adrian Hawthorne's hand.
