"Don't you dare refuse me, or I'll show up at your factory gate and wait for you every single day. Good grief, are you trying to scare Mom, Dad, and me to death? You're far too reckless!" Seeing the look on Grace Winslow's face, Nolan Winslow knew she was about to turn him down.
He exasperatedly reached out and poked her on the forehead, his tone incredibly firm.
Grace Winslow sighed helplessly. "Alright, alright. What can I say? You're my big brother. You call the shots."
"But, brother, there are just some things a person has to do. Was I supposed to see a human trafficker and just ignore him? Just stand by and watch him abduct so many people and tear countless families apart?"
Nolan Winslow fell silent. After a long moment, he sighed. "You have a point. But no matter what you do, you have to protect yourself first. Your life is the most important thing. You still have us, you have Mom and Dad. You can't be so willful."
