Grace Winslow stopped in her tracks and looked up at Gregory Winslow in surprise.
She could only see his back.
His posture was straight and tall, yet there was an inexplicable air of weathered sorrow about him.
Before Grace Winslow could even wonder why, Gregory Winslow's next words struck her like a bolt of lightning.
"You're not my daughter. My daughter has never been to Coronet, and she's never studied design. She got good grades in school, but she never had anything to do with design. Who are you?"
Gregory Winslow turned as he spoke, his sharp gaze landing on Grace Winslow.
Grace Winslow took a step back. "Dad…"
"I know my own daughter best. She clearly loved Caleb Forrest to the bone; she even dared to defy her family for his sake."
"You were only married for three months, yet you divorced him without a second thought."
