"Alright, ma'am. We'll need you to come with us to the station to give a statement." The two officers glanced at the flustered woman and took her directly to the station.
A dozen or so civilians followed them all the way to the police station. Only after seeing them go inside did the curious crowd finally leave, relieved.
Grace Winslow recounted the entire story of the attempted robbery, down to the last detail.
The officer taking her statement couldn't help but smile. "Comrade, you've got some skills. He's robbed someone once before, but since it was his first offense and the victim didn't want to press charges after getting their money back, we just detained him for three months. I can't believe he was released just two days ago and he's already at it again."
"Please investigate this thoroughly. I have other things to attend to, so I'll be going now." After a few polite words, Grace Winslow left.
