"I'm sorry, I must look like a fool," Florence Sherman said, raising her hand to wipe messily at the tears on her face.
Grace Winslow thoughtfully handed her a tissue. "You didn't do anything wrong. He was the one who was ungrateful and failed to cherish you."
"You're still young. You can have a life of your own now that you've left him. A person's life doesn't have to revolve around love and marriage, right?"
"Maybe you'll discover something you love to do. And perhaps the man who's truly meant for you is still waiting in your future."
"You said you went through the same thing I did. Have you moved on?" Florence Sherman asked, looking at Grace Winslow with curiosity.
Grace Winslow seemed far too calm and composed.
So calm, in fact, that you would never guess she had once been abandoned by a man.
She was so beautiful, so calm, and so strong that one couldn't help but subconsciously overlook everything else.
Grace Winslow smiled gently. "I have."
