The Speaker clearly hadn't expected the Third Prince to appear so suddenly. This wasn't on the schedule at all.
Ashley Bowen had sprained her ankle, and it hurt to walk. But to maintain her appearance and composure, she endured the pain, gritted her teeth, and walked beside Yuri Sinclair in her high heels.
Several high-ranking officials were seated in the VIP section, the Prime Minister among them. When Ashley Bowen saw Adam Sinclair in his seat, she froze.
However, Yuri Sinclair's wheelchair went straight to the lectern, giving Ashley almost no chance to hesitate before she was standing with him at the front of the stage.
Aaron instructed two guards to move the lectern away and replace the microphone with a lower one.
"Next, we invite the Third Prince to speak!" the Speaker announced at the opportune moment. The silent audience was suddenly jolted awake, and thunderous applause erupted.
