"Alright," she agreed. She was shivering badly. The temperature seemed to plummet right after the Double Ninth Festival.
Ashley Bowen wrapped her arms around herself and turned back.
She had only taken a few steps when she heard footsteps outside, along with the whir of a wheelchair's wheels.
"Your Highness?" She spun around. When she saw a guard wheeling Yuri Sinclair back, she froze.
No longer as frantic as before, Ashley Bowen adopted his usual interrogating tone. "Where have you been so late?" she asked.
Yuri Sinclair smiled faintly, watching the girl's spot-on imitation of him.
"What's this? Miss me?"
"Hmph! You're so full of yourself, you know that? When did I say I missed you? I just think that since we're married, you could at least give me a heads-up if you're not coming home," Ashley Bowen grumbled. She turned, strode into the grand hall, and angrily tossed her coat onto the sofa.
