"Keep your voice down, for goodness' sake. This is the prime minister's house." Vivian Lee rushed forward and clamped a hand over Elise Tate's mouth.
Elise Tate wriggled her eyebrows and turned around, signaling that she wouldn't speak loudly. Only then did Vivian Lee let go.
"That Keith Flores... his family must be pretty well-off. You shouldn't underestimate him now," Elise Tate advised kindly.
'So what if his family is rich? I just don't feel that spark with him.' Shrugging, Vivian Lee turned away. "I'm tired. I'm going to take a shower and go to bed."
It was very late, so Vivian Lee quickly washed up and went to sleep. She didn't wake with a start until the next day, when the sun was already high in the sky.
Golden sunlight streamed in through a crack in the brown, patterned curtains, illuminating the wallpapered walls and carpeted floor.
