Ashley Bowen didn't dare to guess what he was planning, but she had a feeling he was up to no good again.
She let him pull her along over the soft grass. Since it had just rained, her shoes made a "SQUELCH SQUELCH" sound with every step.
"Just wait here. Don't follow us," Yuri Sinclair suddenly ordered, stopping in his tracks when he heard Sean and his men keeping pace right behind them.
Sean scratched his head, embarrassed. "Yes, sir," he replied.
Yuri had come to Bathsia often as a child. He loved catching fish here and rolling around freely on the grass. Back then, he'd felt this was the one place he could be completely free.
This place also held his secret hideout, and he couldn't wait to share it with her.
"Yuri, where are we going?" The path ahead grew wider, opening into a vast, seemingly endless meadow. 'Are we just going to walk forever?' Ashley wondered.
