She picked up her phone and saw it was a call from Vivian Lee.
"Vivian?"
"Hey there, mama. The sun's high in the sky, and you're still lazing in bed?" Vivian teased from the other end.
Ashley Bowen chuckled. "Ah, I'm just so sleepy. My pregnancy symptoms are different from everyone else's."
"That just means you're going to have a heaven-sent baby."
"Hmph, you're just talking nonsense."
"Okay, okay, I'm calling about something serious. I bet you completely forgot, but today's the grand opening for my physical store. You didn't forget, did you?"
"Ah?" Ashley Bowen shot up in bed, running her hands through her hair until it was a bird's nest. It was true—it had completely slipped her mind!
"I—I'll head over right now!"
"Don't you dare rush! You have to be careful with that baby in your belly, or Yuri Sinclair will never forgive me. Just take your time coming over. The grand opening is just boring stuff like ribbon-cutting anyway."
