Gordon scampered to the room and crouched by the door, knocking.
But Yuri Sinclair's displeased voice immediately came from inside. "Who is it?"
"Daddy, it's meee..." Gordon drew out the last word. "I came to see the photos."
"I'll let you see them when Uncle Sean gets back. Go to your mom for now. Be good," Yuri Sinclair said, as if coaxing a three-year-old.
"..." Gordon was speechless. He nodded. "Okay."
In the kitchen, Ashley Bowen was helping Mary Preston cook porridge, while Gordon sat alone on the steps, waiting for Sean to return.
Sean's efficiency was incredible. About twenty minutes later, he came in carrying large and small bags and headed straight for the room.
"Your Majesty, I have returned."
"Mm, come in." Inside the room, Yuri Sinclair turned the doorknob.
When Sean came in with the clothes, he had no idea a little guy was hiding among them.
"I've placed the clothes on the bed."
