When the family left, Sean startled the owner by leaving thirty thousand in cash on the table.
They didn't even make that much in an entire day.
"Remember what I told you. Hang the sign out tomorrow," Sean reminded him.
"Right!" the owner agreed, nodding eagerly. All he had to do was hang a sign outside his shop saying His Majesty the Emperor and the Imperial Concubine had dined there. If he put that sign up, his business would absolutely boom.
"You'll get another fifty thousand once it's done. If reporters come asking questions, remember what to say."
"Yes, yes, of course. I'll do exactly as you say."
After the family left the restaurant, Mary Preston, holding Gordon, glanced in the direction of the courtyard house. "The house only has two bedrooms. Here's the plan: I'll sleep with Gordon, and you, Yuri, can share a room with Shay."
This was the obvious arrangement, but Mary Preston still felt the need to state it explicitly.
