Joan Shaw couldn't help but stand up and shake her hand. She briefly explained her situation.
"Miss Shaw, forgive me for asking, but let me just confirm—the person you want to sue is Mr. Miles Xavier, correct?" the assistant asked, adjusting her glasses while maintaining a polite smile.
"That's right," Joan Shaw nodded.
"But why didn't you call the police immediately when it happened? You didn't collect any semen samples in time for a DNA comparison? You graduated from the police academy yourself. You should know more about these things than I do, shouldn't you?"
Faced with the assistant's pointed question, Joan Shaw could only force a laugh. 'Could she admit she'd forgotten everything she learned at the academy?'
"There's traffic camera footage, that can be used as proof."
"That only proves he forced you into his car. As for whether intercourse occurred, that footage isn't sufficient evidence."
"So, you're saying this case is impossible to win?" Joan Shaw's heart sank.
