Howard and Old Man Goodman boarded a train bound for Lavendell.
Sitting by the window, Howard flicked a locally bought lighter on and off, watching the faint blue flame flicker before his eyes.
He had complicated feelings about seeing Yuri Sinclair again.
Exhausted from the journey, they finally arrived at the station. Unsurprisingly, a man in black dress pants and a black shirt was waiting on the platform. He raised a lighter to the cigarette dangling from his lips, but it was out of fluid.
"Sir, need a light? (in French)" Howard strode over, sparking his own lighter and holding it out to him.
Yuri Sinclair looked up sharply. Seeing who it was, he smiled faintly. "You punk, your French is getting more and more authentic."
Howard stood in front of Old Man Goodman, his tall frame completely obscuring the old man's stooped figure. Yuri didn't notice at all that there was someone else behind him.
