A flicker of interest appeared in the man's eyes, but it was gone in an instant. "If I let you go, what's to stop you from going back on your word? Do you take me for a fool?"
Theo Rhodes gestured with his chin toward the gun in the man's hand. "You have that. If I try to trick you, you can shoot me anytime."
The man finally lowered his guard, dropping the muzzle of his gun slightly. "Let's go. But you do as I say."
Theo Rhodes finally breathed a sigh of relief. He turned slightly, walking sideways to keep Claire Sinclair from being fully exposed.
They hadn't gone far when a commotion erupted behind them. It sounded like a large group of people had arrived.
Theo Rhodes spoke up. "Are those your people coming after us? If you have to split fifty million with all of them, you're not going to get much of a share."
