Kang County First Middle School had been around for years, and the shops near campus were all quite old. This dilapidated barbershop had a roll-up shutter, which was currently raised for business.
Three in the afternoon was the hottest part of the day. The students were all in class, and nearby residents were rarely out and about. There were no customers in the shop. On the sofa sat a young man with dyed-yellow hair, wearing a yellow athletic tank top.
Xu Su looked toward the man sitting on the sofa in the nearby barbershop, her eyes full of malice.
Seeing her expression, Zhou Mochen, who was beside her, faltered for a second. He leaned over, following her gaze out the passenger-side window. After a moment, he asked, "You know him?"
"I guess so," Xu Su replied, then suddenly reached up and cupped his face, which was just inches away. She said sullenly, "Zhou Mochen, do something for me."
