Qin Jiao felt even more certain that something was definitely wrong!
She said to Gu Xu, "Alright, can I take a look at these files? I won't show them to anyone, and I'll return them when I'm finished."
"Sure!"
Gu Xu had absolute trust in Qin Jiao's integrity. Since he had other matters to attend to, he left, leaving her alone in the office.
She went over Gao Yuan's file again.
Just then, the phone on the desk rang shrilly.
"Xiao Jiao, there's trouble at the restaurant!"
The caller was Qin Zhonghui. He normally managed the kitchen, while Sun Lili was in charge of the front of the house.
'For him to be calling, Sun Lili must be tied up with something.'
Qin Jiao said calmly, "Dad, take it easy. Tell me exactly what happened."
"Someone was eating at our restaurant and suddenly collapsed on the floor. They were sent to the hospital, and it's supposedly food poisoning. Now Xiao Sun has been taken away, and all the customers have cleared out..."
His voice trembled as he spoke.
