Several weeks had passed since Makoto's family arrived in the world of Eryndal. Makoto's father and mother had gone to the Goddess World to meet those who had survived the destruction of the Kingdom of Kanaleon. Makoto also asked Tomoe to send several ninjas to accompany his parents and to establish an information network in the Goddess World.
Yukiko, Mari, and Nukumi also visited Makoto every week. Unlike Sensei, who had already settled in Eryndal and trained with the warriors every day, the three of them seemed more like they were on vacation.
As Makoto walked around observing the development of the city, he recalled the time when he had invited the three of them to visit the Goddess World. Mari, who was very excited about traveling to another world, had asked Makoto if they could hunt monsters around the city of Rotsgard when they went to visit their parents. However, after defeating the monster in front of her, Mari—who had initially been enthusiastic—became slightly disappointed.
"Don't the monsters in another world seem a little too weak?" Marin said after defeating the dragon-type monster in front of her.
"It's not that the monsters are too weak, but that you are too strong, Mari. If you want, how about I seal most of your power to increase the difficulty when fighting monsters?" Makoto said to Mari.
"Really, Onii-chan?! Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Mari said to Makoto.
"Is that really alright, Makoto-sempai? Isn't it dangerous?" Nukumi asked.
"You don't need to worry, Nukumi-chan. Even though Mari is still young, she already holds a black belt in karate," Yukiko said.
"Don't worry, Nukumi. I'm here. Even if Mari were fighting a god, if anything happened I could easily protect her," Makoto said.
"Alright then," Nukumi replied.
After that, they hunted several monsters they encountered. Yukiko and Nukumi also tried fighting the monsters they found, but they did not ask Makoto to seal their power like Mari did. As evening approached, they returned to the city and had dinner with their parents at a restaurant. During dinner, their father and mother listened to Mari's story about how they fought monsters around the city.
"Father, how is the progress regarding the Kingdom of Kanaleon?" Makoto asked.
"Oh right, I haven't introduced you to them yet," Makoto's father said.
"Luria-chan, could you come here for a moment?" Makoto's mother said to a female restaurant waitress.
"Alright, please wait a moment!" said Luria, who was placing food on a customer's table before walking toward their table.
"Luria-chan, let me introduce you. These are my children," Makoto's mother said to Luria.
"Hello, my name is Mari. Nice to meet you," Mari said cheerfully.
"My name is Yukiko. Nice to meet you," Yukiko said.
"My name is Makoto. Nice to meet you," Makoto said.
"My name is Luria Aensland. My older sister and I are very grateful to Hayato-sama and Kasumi-sama for being willing to help us restore the Kingdom of Kanaleon," Luria said while bowing her head.
"You don't need to bow your head like that. The Kingdom of Kanaleon is the second homeland of my parents, so you don't need to feel burdened," Makoto said.
"Makoto is right, Luria. Helping you is our own wish, so please don't feel burdened," Yukiko said.
"Even so, I am still very grateful for the help you have given us," Luria said.
After talking with them for a while, Luria returned to work, as the restaurant was busy during dinner time. Yukiko, Mari, and Nukumi spent two days playing and sightseeing around the city, and then Makoto sent them back home using a portal.
Returning to the present, Makoto remembered what had happened several weeks ago while walking around observing the city's development. At that moment, Makoto received telepathy from Tomoe.
"Waka, where are you right now?" Tomoe asked.
"I'm looking around the city to see its development. Is something wrong, Tomoe?" Makoto replied.
"There's something I want to discuss with you, Waka," Tomoe said.
"Alright, I'll head back home," Makoto replied.
After returning home, Makoto met Tomoe, who was talking with Shiki.
"What's going on, Tomoe?" Makoto asked.
"Oh, Waka. Shiki and I were discussing when we will go to another world," Tomoe said.
"Why are you suddenly discussing going to another world?" Makoto asked.
"Actually, Waka-sama, I have created a device that can detect relatively stable space-time while we are in the chaotic dimension," Shiki said while taking out a compass-like device connected to a laptop.
"So you want to test that device when we travel to another world, Shiki?" Makoto asked.
"Yes, Waka-sama. If it works, we can add it to the minivan's navigation system," Shiki said.
"Hmm, your idea is good. I also want to try an idea I've been thinking about lately. I want to create a system that ignores space and time so that it can connect individuals with each other," Makoto said.
"Are you trying to create a system like the ones in novels and manga, Waka?!" Tomoe said in surprise.
"In general it's similar, but for now I'm only making something like a messaging and phone system. If it works, I will add more features later," Makoto replied.
"Then when are we leaving? I can't wait to try it," Tomoe said.
"Tonight during dinner I'll ask who wants to come along. If there's nothing urgent, we can leave tomorrow morning," Makoto said.
"Oh right, how is the progress of integrating the supercomputer with magic technology?" Makoto asked.
"For now the progress is quite good, Waka-sama. This laptop is the latest result of combining modern technology with magic technology. Although I cannot yet create something at the level of a supercomputer, at least I only need to develop the core processor components so it can perform calculations faster and more accurately. I am also working together with the elder dwarves to develop the parts of the supercomputer," Shiki said.
After talking with Tomoe and Shiki, evening approached. Mio, with the help of Erin and Koyuki, had prepared dinner for them.
"Tomorrow I will go to another world. Who wants to come along?" Makoto asked.
"Where are we going, Waka-sama? Are we returning to my world?" Koyuki asked.
"As for where we will go, you can decide the direction yourselves," Makoto said.
"Then I want to come with you, Waka-sama," Koyuki said.
"I also want to come with you, Waka-sama," Hakuren said.
"Of course I'm going with you, Waka-sama," Mio said.
"I'm not going, Onii-chan," Erin said.
"Why, Erin? With your current condition you should be able to travel to another world as long as you stay close to me," Makoto said.
"Actually, right now I'm taking care of the garden I made around my main body, Onii-chan. Besides, I'm not very interested in traveling to other worlds," Erin replied.
"Alright then. How about you, Selena? As far as I know, you're not too busy right now. How about joining us?" Makoto asked.
"If Waka-sama invites me, I would happily come with you," Selena replied.
"I will also give all of you a sub-system," Makoto said.
"A sub-system? What is that, Waka-sama?" Koyuki asked.
"This is a system I give you so you can connect and communicate with me. Think of it like a messaging application on a smartphone," Makoto explained.
"Ohh, I see," Koyuki said.
Makoto then sent the sub-system into each of their consciousness spaces.
"Ohh, I can see a screen appearing in front of me!" Koyuki said in surprise.
"You can operate it with your consciousness, Koyuki. Right now the system can only communicate through typing and phone calls. If we can communicate across worlds using this system while ignoring space and time, I will upgrade it to become more advanced," Makoto said.
"This is amazing, Onii-chan. With this I can easily chat with Mari," Erin said.
The next day they gathered in the front yard of the house. Makoto then took out the minivan he had previously stored.
"Waka, can't we change its shape into something different?" Tomoe asked.
"What kind of shape do you want?" Makoto asked.
"How about this!" Tomoe said while showing a picture of a futuristic and elegant silver space battleship design with a golden World Tree symbol.
"Where did you get that design from?" Makoto asked.
"I was inspired by the game Mari brought last week," Tomoe said.
"Alright, I'll change its form," Makoto said.
"Nueria, can you change the minivan's form into the design Tomoe showed?" Makoto asked in his mind.
[Yes, I can. Do you want to change it now, Master?] Nueria replied.
"Yes," Makoto answered mentally.
The minivan in front of Makoto then became soft and transformed into the design Tomoe had shown.
"Woah, that's amazing, Waka-sama!" Koyuki said. Hakuren, standing beside her, said nothing, but his eyes sparkled as he looked at the transformed space battleship and nodded in agreement with Koyuki.
"So, does this spaceship have a name, Tomoe?" Makoto asked.
"Of course, Waka. I've already thought of a suitable name. How about we call this ship Interdimensional Ship: Nova?" Tomoe said proudly.
"Nova? That's a good name, Tomoe," Mio said.
"Yes, Tomoe. It seems you thought seriously about the design and the name of this ship," Makoto said.
Then they all boarded Nova, except Erin, who was still standing beside it.
"There are no changes inside," Mio said while looking around.
"Of course. I only redesigned the exterior. The interior is still the same as before," Tomoe said.
"Then let's head to the cockpit," Makoto said.
They all entered and sat in their respective seats. Tomoe sat in the center front in front of Makoto, with Selena and Shiki sitting to her right and left. Mio sat beside Makoto along with Koyuki and Hakuren.
"Erin, we're departing. After we arrive in another world, I'll contact you through the system," Makoto said telepathically.
"Yes, Onii-chan. Be careful," Erin replied telepathically while waving toward Nova.
"Alright, let's go," Makoto said as he created a portal in front of Nova.
"Alright, Waka. Nova is launching," Tomoe said while piloting Nova into the portal and emerging in the chaotic dimension.
"So where should we go?" Makoto asked.
"How about that direction, Waka?" Tomoe said while pointing toward a world with a relatively strong presence.
"It's up to you. Our goal this time is to test the device Shiki made and the system I created, so we don't have a specific destination. Shiki, is your device working properly?" Makoto asked.
"It's working well, Waka-sama. Tomoe-sama, this device indicates relatively stable space-time areas, so you can use it as a reference while navigating," Shiki said.
"Alright," Tomoe said as she flew Nova toward the chosen direction. With the help of Shiki's device, Tomoe no longer flew straight like before but instead made several turns to avoid areas where space-time was chaotic and pass through relatively stable regions.
After flying for some time, they arrived in front of a world whose dimensional wall was quite strong.
"Shiki, prepare camouflage mode to enter this world," Makoto said.
"Understood, Waka-sama. Camouflage mode activated," Shiki replied.
"Tomoe, enter the world slowly," Makoto said.
"Yes, Waka," Tomoe said as she carefully guided Nova through the dimensional wall. After passing through it, Nova appeared in a gray sky with a red moon.
"Where is this place? This doesn't look like a place suitable for survival," Selena said.
"It seems that a massive war once occurred in this world, causing it to become like this," Shiki said while looking at the endless gray land.
"Wait a moment. I will use my ability to find out what happened," Makoto said as he closed his eyes briefly. When he opened them again, he used [Ultimate Skill: Rull] to understand what had happened in this world.
"I already know which world this is and why it became like this. I will send you a video through the system so you can watch it," Makoto said.
He then sent them an anime video of No Game No Life: Zero.
While they watched it, Makoto contacted Erin through the system.
"Erin, can you hear me?" Makoto said.
"I can hear you clearly, Onii-chan," Erin replied.
"How long has it been since we left?" Makoto asked.
"It has been about eight hours since you and the others departed," Erin replied.
"It seems Shiki's device is very useful," Makoto said.
"Onii-chan, this system is very useful. Are you going to develop it like in games?" Erin asked.
"I'll think about its development gradually. Did you also receive the video I sent?" Makoto asked.
"Yes, Onii-chan. I'm watching it now," Erin said.
"Alright then, continue watching. I'll hang up the call for now," Makoto said.
"Okay, Onii-chan," Erin replied.
After ending the call with Erin, Makoto began thinking about what he would do in this world while waiting for everyone to finish watching the anime No Game No Life: Zero that he had sent through the system.
