Miranda Hart's morning began the same way most of her mornings began.
Before sunrise had fully settled over the city, she was already seated inside the back of a company vehicle, reviewing reports on a tablet while her assistant updated her schedule for the day. The streets outside moved past the tinted windows in a blur of steel, glass, and morning traffic, but Miranda barely noticed any of it.
Her attention remained fixed on work.

Between Hart Enterprises' expansion projects and the growing number of preparations surrounding her engagement to Adrian Cross, it often felt as though every hour of her day belonged to someone else. Meetings demanded her attention. Investors demanded her attention. Family obligations demanded her attention.
