While Kytheron waited for Apocalypse to gather the Mutants, a space exploration vessel carrying two astronauts and two researchers was returning to Earth from space.
They were not affiliated with the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration, but rather a life science research foundation, long dedicated to genetic technology research.
When the space age arrived, they set their sights on outer space.
This was not the first exploration vessel they had launched; each time, the experimental samples brought back from space had greatly benefited them, further fueling their passion for space exploration.
This time, they discovered a strange life form.
"Life Equation Zero calling Ground Control, experimental samples have been collected and we are on our way back."
As it approached Earth's orbit, the spacecraft sent a return signal to Ground Control.
"Control Center received, normal return allowed!"
Upon receiving the signal from the ground, the four people in the cabin couldn't help but feel happy.
This was their longest exploration; only after truly leaving Earth did they realize how good it felt to stand on solid ground again.
"Oh! I love this blue Planet. I've only been away from Earth for three months, but it feels like three centuries have passed."
"Of course, I miss that Turkish kebab shop on the streets of New York. When we get back, I definitely have to treat you all."
"I miss my wife and children. This time, I'm going to ask the boss for six months of vacation. I need to spend some quality time with Jennifer and my dear little George."
Three of them were already fantasizing about what they would do after returning!
However, only one person remained silent, making the other three a little puzzled, and they couldn't help but ask:
"Edmund, why aren't you speaking?"
"Hungry!"
At this moment, the researcher named Edmund let out a low growl.
"???"
The other three were somewhat confused, not knowing what had happened to their friend.
But the next moment, Edmund, who was sitting in his seat, suddenly stood up, and something seemed to be thrashing inside his spacesuit.
Black tentacles emerged from it, sticking tightly to the inner walls of the spacecraft.
The three were terrified by this sudden sight.
"Damn it, it's that thing! It escaped from the sample collection box!"
"How could this happen?"
As soon as they saw the black tentacles, they immediately knew what the hell it was, and a wave of fear washed over them!
This time, they had originally gone to collect samples from an extra-large asteroid that was passing by Earth.
The samples had already been collected, and they were continuing to explore the asteroid.
However, they discovered a humanoid skeleton with blue skin on the asteroid, which greatly horrified them.
Only then did they realize that there were other life forms in the Universe besides humans.
However, after the horror came profound ecstasy; as long as they brought this skeleton back to Earth, they would gain unimaginable benefits.
Their boss would surely give each of them a generous reward.
Just as they were about to take the skeleton, they found a strange, black, oil-like substance slowly slipping from the skeleton and slowly wriggling towards one of the researchers, seemingly very weak.
The next moment, the skeleton turned into a pile of dust.
The disappearance of the skeleton meant a large bonus was gone. Looking at the black mass, the researchers could only take it back.
Perhaps their boss would appreciate this thing!
This was one of the Symbiotes that escaped from Klyntar—Venom!
Originally, he was accompanied by Riot, Scorn, and Agony, but it seemed their luck was bad, as they encountered a Kree fleet pursuing Skrulls and were accidentally injured.
However, just when they thought they would die before achieving success, a powerful being radiating magnificent cosmic energy, like a meteor, easily destroyed the Kree spacecraft.
By a strange twist of fate, Venom possessed a severely wounded Kree!
But he had no choice, because after leaving their home Planet, their Symbiote race could only survive in the Universe by bonding with a host.
They fell onto an asteroid, and the two equally weak individuals relied on each other.
However, without a food source, the Kree couldn't hold on any longer. After an unknown amount of time passed, just as Venom was preparing to die, he discovered life approaching!
He dragged his weak body, wanting to complete the parasitism, but was instead placed in a sealed container!
As one of the few intelligent members of the Symbiote family, Venom, though a bit weaker in combat, was the most resilient.
To avoid attracting too much attention, he always maintained a slow, wriggling motion, appearing like a harmless living tissue.
After capturing Venom, these researchers peeled off a soybean-sized piece of Venom tissue and conducted simple research on it using the experimental equipment available on the spacecraft.
They analyzed that Venom should be a parasitic life form, likely with little consciousness, acting only on instinct. So, after sealing it in a container, they didn't give Venom much thought.
But Venom had already transferred his consciousness to the drop of tissue they had separated and quietly slipped onto Edmund's body.
With Edmund as his host, and after a period of replenishing life energy, Venom returned!
Once he confirmed he was about to land on a living Planet, Venom began to act!
He directly took over Edmund's body and attacked the other three.
"Fuck, run!"
In front of a Symbiote like Venom, ordinary people had no power to resist; instantly, one researcher's head was bitten off by the gaping maw.
The remaining two frantically detached from their seats, preparing to run to the escape pod.
At this time, the commotion inside the spacecraft also alarmed Ground Control.
"Zero, Zero, do you read? What's happening inside the spacecraft?"
The ground continuously sent signals, but there was no response at all.
Because at this moment, inside the spacecraft, besides Edmund, who was possessed by Venom, the other three had already become three headless corpses with blood gushing out.
"Delicious! There are countless more delicacies waiting for me on this Planet!"
Standing inside the spacecraft, Venom, with his long tongue extended, gazed greedily at the vast blue Planet ahead.
As Venom gradually approached Earth, in the Arctic glaciers, a sealed black Symbiote dragon, as if sensing something, suddenly opened its eyes.
"Traitors! Your doomsday is coming!"
The consciousness of the former Dark God Knull was possessing this giant dragon.
Although his main body was still sealed by countless Symbiotes on Klyntar, as long as he could escape from here, and his consciousness returned to his main body, all the Symbiotes he had created and who had betrayed him would die.
Now, Venom's appearance gave him a chance to escape.
Venom probably never would have imagined that the consciousness of the Symbiote race's most feared ancestor was on Earth, waiting for him to walk right into his trap.
