Of course, Tony's rampage wasn't just relying on the Sabretooth healing factor for melee combat.
After charging with the Brutes for a few rounds, getting his legs broken twice, arms broken three times, and being ripped in half at the waist once—nearly getting his head popped by a demon along the way—Tony was dragged back to base.
After reattaching his lower half, he didn't even rest. He suited up in his Iron Man armor and charged back into the fray.
The result? Within half a day, both suits he brought were scrap metal.
After that, Luca, genuinely afraid Tony would die on the battlefield, simply gave him one of the Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina units he had brought along.
These things rarely saw use on Earth. He brought them to boost the Legion's firepower anyway. As for Shamila and the others? He could just build a few new ones when he got back. There was plenty of time.
With the Amatsu Mina, Tony could finally unleash hell on the battlefield.
E-Carbon armor powered by a Solar Furnace was in a completely different league compared to Arc Reactor tech.
Especially since the Amatsu Mina's Solar Furnace was a modified Hell Furnace. The E-Carbon armor, reinforced by Hell energy, had significantly higher resistance to demon attacks.
However, Tony had his pride. He only piloted the Gundam for two days before parking it.
"What? You want to build your own Gundam?"
Watching an exhausted Tony trudge back into the Hex Legion base, covered in blood despite piloting a giant robot, Luca was baffled. How did he get blood all over himself inside a cockpit?
Tony nodded slightly. He didn't notice Luca eyeing the bloodstains. After composing himself, he replied:
"Not exactly a Gundam. But both my suits are destroyed. Instead of repairing them, I might as well build a brand-new armor specifically designed for fighting demons."
"As for the Gundam..." Tony glanced at the black giant parked in the distance, now taken over by an onboard Haro and heading to the hangar for repairs.
"...It's not a bad concept. I actually have some ideas. Maybe I can build a giant mecha platform compatible with the Mark series suits."
"But if I do that, it might eat up a lot of your resources. At least in terms of E-Carbon..."
Hearing Tony hesitate, Luca waved his hand dismissively.
"Use whatever resources you want here. Forget one or two Gundams—if you build an entire legion out of the E-Carbon stockpile, I'll only applaud you."
Honestly, Luca didn't care about resource consumption in the Hex camp.
Sure, some materials had to be shipped from Earth, but compared to the resources recycled from slain demons, the cost was negligible.
Strategic materials like E-Carbon were supplied to the battlefield in unlimited quantities.
Besides, Tony still held a 10% stake in Aurantius Materials, the E-Carbon manufacturer.
"Not just E-Carbon. There are dozens of tons of Vibranium in the stockpile here too. But... are you sure you want to stay? Designing a new mech would be much easier back on Earth, right?"
Although the factory equipment here was advanced due to the need for mech manufacturing and weapon adjustments, it couldn't compare to Tony's personal lab in terms of familiarity and R&D specialization.
If Tony really wanted to build anti-demon weaponry, Luca wouldn't mind supplying the materials to him on Earth.
Leaving him here just added unnecessary danger.
However, Tony didn't hear a word Luca said after the "Vibranium" part. He just stared at him, dumbfounded.
"Dozens... of tons of Vibranium??!!"
Right...
Luca realized Tony didn't know about his little heist in Wakanda.
Although Little Vision often floated around Tony, the small amount of Vibranium in his body probably misled Tony about Luca's stash size.
"Uh, don't worry about the details. Just gifts from nature."
"Anyway, use whatever you need. If Vibranium isn't enough, I'll restock it."
Seeing Tony looking like a country bumpkin seeing the big city for the first time, Luca didn't bother explaining.
Vibranium wasn't exactly rare for Luca anymore. Dozens of tons were just basic supplies for the Legion base.
Otherwise, there wouldn't be so many elite Vibranium mechs on the battlefield.
Seeing that Tony was dead set on squatting in the Dimension War, Luca didn't try to persuade him further.
This wasn't Earth, but travel was convenient enough. If anything happened, he could return via Kamar-Taj portal instantly.
Hell, knowing Tony, he might just invent his own dimension-hopping tech while he was here.
At the very least, he could upgrade Luca's flaky inter-dimensional comms device.
For now, Pepper would just have to endure an empty house for a while.
"Alright. Since you don't want to go home, stay here. I'm heading back. I've got a pile of work waiting in Sokovia."
Tony might not mind the research environment here, but Luca didn't plan on staying long.
His two main goals—testing the [Spirit Pressure Restraining Eyepatch] and deploying the Hell Furnace Buildings—were accomplished.
The rest could wait until he was back on Earth.
Staying longer would help improve his Hex energy control, sure. But living in a dump filled with nothing but demons and machines wasn't exactly conducive to a good mood or finding new core components for item synthesis.
Hearing this, Tony fell silent again, as if his excitement over the Vibranium was just an illusion.
He looked at the battlefield in the distance, still roaring with slaughter, then at his blood-soaked self. After a moment of hesitation, he said softly to Luca:
"Tell Pepper... I'll be back in a while."
Luca rolled his eyes. He didn't say anything, but the message was received.
After saying goodbye to Ipei and the others, Luca leisurely stepped through the sorcerer's portal and returned to Earth.
But the moment he stepped back onto Earth, he felt a sudden emptiness in his body.
"Oh, right! Forgot to take off the eyepatch!"
Luca slapped his forehead, realizing his mistake.
However, the instant he undid the straps and removed the patch...
BOOM—
A massive aura exploded outward. Boiling Hex energy surged from his body, the pressure instantly crushing the ground beneath his feet into a spiderweb of cracks.
"Phew... That's even more of a boost than I expected!"
