Julie's Point of View
My eyes widened in a shock that paralyzed my movement. A slight tremor ran through my limbs as I stared at the familiar building before me; what I was seeing couldn't possibly be real! We were standing right at the university gates.
I turned toward Robert, who was watching my stunned reaction with cold indifference.
"You aren't dreaming," he said in a calm tone.
I swallowed hard, my heart hammering violently against my ribs. "What are we doing here?" I asked, my voice cracking.
"You have a final exam today, don't you?" he replied, locking his gaze onto mine.
In that instant, memories flooded my brain like a torrential tide. I remembered the final exam I thought I had lost the chance for forever. A pang of sorrow gripped my heart. "Yes... today," I whispered brokenly.
