"I'm a licensed veterinary technician. I could help with pack medical care, especially for wolves who prefer not to use human hospitals. And I'm trained in conflict mediation....I could assist with dispute resolution if needed."
Eve and Brynn exchanged glances. Both of those skills would be genuinely useful.
"What's your ranking history?" Eve asked.
"Gamma in my birth pack. I'm not interested in climbing hierarchy. I just want to contribute and belong."
They talked for another twenty minutes, covering everything from Sarah's control over her wolf to her expectations about pack life. By the end, Eve had a clear sense of who Sarah was.
"Thank you for your time," Eve said. "We'll discuss your application with the Alphas and let you know our decision within three days."
After Sarah left, Brynn turned to Eve with an approving expression. "Well done. You asked the right questions, read her responses well, and maintained appropriate authority without being intimidating."
